ceremony and training session on Liver Health Promotion Bijie Demonstration
Area was held on July 10. Li Mingyang, director of China
Liver Health,Lu Min, deputy director of Bijie Health Bureau,member of CPC committee of Bijie Health Bureau attended
the ceremony and delivered speeches.Lu Yong, secretary general of Hepatitis
prevention and control branch of China Association for Vaccines, marketing director of North China Pharmaceutical Jintan Biotechnology co.,
Ltd, Wang Feng, secretary of National Institute for Viral
Disease Control and Prevention of China CDC, Zheng Jinding,director of infectious disease department of Guizhou
Provincial People’s Hospital attended the meeting.A total of over 300 people
including directors, deputy directors and immunization planning workers of
local CDCs in Bijie, immunization planning workers of local health centers and
community health services centers participated in the meeting.Liu Yong,
director of Bijie CDC presided over the event and announced the startup of Liver Health Promotion Bijie Demonstration Area.
A donation ceremony of 150,000 hepatitis B test kits was also held at the
meeting.

that hepatitis is a class B
infectious disease stipulated in the Law of China on the
Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, and it is the main cause of
serious diseases such as cirrhosis, liver failure and liver cancer. Public
welfare supported by North China Pharmaceutical Jintan Biotechnology Co., Ltd,
20 demonstration Areas were
established in ten provinces and cities across the country in 2020. Since 2021,
20 demonstration Areas have been established in Anhui, Henan, Guizhou,
Fujian and Hubei. Through carrying out epidemiological survey of hepatitis B among key
populations, technical training for hepatitis B prevention and control in
grass-roots areas, health education for residents and free screening and detection,
the project played an positive role in suppressing the harm of hepatitis B and
building a health barrier.

immunization program in 2002, the prevention and control of hepatitis B in
Bijie has achieved remarkable results, and the hepatitis B incidence of
children under the age of 10 has been controlled at a low level. The startup of
Liver Health Promotion
Bijie Demonstration Area Project is a big event and a happy event in the
history of hepatitis B prevention and control in Bijie. All counties,cities and
districts should cherish the opportunities and carry out the implementation of
the project. With the improvement of political awareness,the counties must
fully understand the importance and urgency of hepatitis B prevention and
control, implement various prevention and control measures conscientiously and
earnestly.We should be aware of the severe situation of the hepatitis B
epidemic, continue to consolidate and improve the vaccination rate of hepatitis
B vaccine, and do a good job in the prevention and control of hepatitis B in
other groups. The reason of high incidence of hepatitis B should be
investigated carefully. Disease control institutions of all levels should make
the best of Liver Health Promotion Bijie Demonstration Area Project, conduct
in-depth investigations and researches to find out weaknesses, take scientific
and precise measures, and strive to realize the lower incidence of hepatitis B
in Bijie than the provincial average level.

Experts gave lectures After the startup ceremony,
experts from National Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention of
China CDC, Gui Zhou CDC and Bijie CDC conducted the training on hepatitis B
prevention and control technology, which further improved the ability of
hepatitis B prevention and control of Bijie.
