Startup
ceremony and training session on Liver Health Promotion Gongyi Demonstration
Area was held on July 14. Li Mingyang, director of China
Liver Health, Jin Chaohui, director of Gongyi CDC attended the meeting and
delivered speeches. A total of over 40 people including directors, deputy
directors and immunization planning workers of local CDCs in Gongyi,
immunization planning workers of local health centers and community health
services centers participated in the meeting.Huang Xiuwen, director of the
supervision bureau of Gongyi Health Commission presided over the event and
announced the startup of Liver Health Promotion Gongyi Demonstration Area.
A donation ceremony of 150,000 hepatitis B test kits was also held at the
meeting.

that hepatitis is a class B
infectious disease stipulated in the Law of China on the
Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, and it is the main cause of
serious diseases such as cirrhosis, liver failure and liver cancer. Public
welfare supported by North China Pharmaceutical Jintan Biotechnology Co., Ltd,
20 demonstration Areas were
established in ten provinces and cities across the country in 2020. Since 2021,
20 demonstration Areas have been established in Anhui, Henan, Guizhou,
Fujian and Hubei. Through carrying out epidemiological survey of hepatitis B among key
populations, technical training for hepatitis B prevention and control in
grass-roots areas, health education for residents and free screening and testing,
the project played an positive role in suppressing the harm of hepatitis B and
building a health barrier.

said, with the opportunity of this project , Gongyi CDC will strengthen the propaganda on hepatitis
B prevention and control in Gongyi, improve the awareness of protecting liver
and health level of the people, build an effective immune barrier to suppress
the transmission of hepatitis B in Gongyi, and improve the sense of gain,
happiness and security in healthcare of the people.

the training on hepatitis B prevention and control technology, which further
improved the hepatitis B prevention and control work ability of the
participants.
