Maternal and Child Liver Health Promotion Action Launched Nationwide

　 Viral hepatitis is a major public health problem seriously endangering the health of our people. According to statistics, there are about 86 million chronic hepatitis B virus infected people in China. In order to reduce the new cases of hepatitis B transmitted from mother to child and sexually, on March 5, 2022, the China Liver Health launched the "Maternal and Child Liver Health Promotion Action" project.

     As of June 8, 305 offline science popularization activities targeting women of childbearing age have been carried out in 21 provinces (cities) including Anhui, Guangdong, Shandong, Henan, Sichuan, Hebei, Guangxi, Hubei, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Hainan, Hunan, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Chongqing, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Jiangsu and Gansu, with 4074 person times of science popularization education; 720 grassroots community doctors from all over the country were stationed in the project expert group; The Video official account of "Guarding the Health of the Liver" launched a popular science video of hepatitis B by authoritative experts focusing on the important life link of women's "love marriage, pregnancy, childbirth", with 45000 viewers.

　 The launch of the "Maternal and Child Liver Health Promotion Action" project is to mobilize women of childbearing age to take the initiative to detect hepatitis B and know their own hepatitis B virus infection. Mastering the scientific knowledge of hepatitis B will move forward to block the mother to child transmission of hepatitis B virus, drive families with individuals, improve the diagnosis and treatment rate of hepatitis B, further reduce the mother to child transmission of hepatitis B, and achieve the great goal of "eliminating the public health hazards of viral hepatitis by 2030" proposed by the World Health Organization.

     The project plans to use three years to recruit 5000 grassroots community doctors nationwide to join the expert group and carry out hepatitis B science popularization work for 1.5 million women of childbearing age by combining offline micro classes and online video numbers.

     In 2022, focus on the implementation of project publicity and education tasks in 20 provincial (municipal) community health service centers, including Guangdong, Henan, Jiangsu, Sichuan and Anhui.

　 After the project was launched, Hongguang Neighborhood Community Health Service Center of Hefei Anhua Hospital in Anhui Province organized the first lecture in China.

　 The vaccination doctors in the prevention clinic carried out science popularization and education on hepatitis B related knowledge for more than 30 women of childbearing age and their families who came to the community for HPV vaccination. The person in charge of the outpatient department approved the way to carry out the micro class and the content of the education and planned to carry out such activities regularly.

     The first missionary activity in Anhui won the first battle, which greatly mobilized the enthusiasm of national experts.

     Guangdong, Hainan and other places followed closely, and the members of the expert group actively organized education activities for women of childbearing age in their communities; The members of the Henan expert group bravely tried to explore. In addition to organizing activities in their communities and village clinics, they also actively went out to the kindergartens under their jurisdiction to spread hepatitis B prevention and control knowledge to teachers; The members of the Sichuan expert group came to the hotel to explain the harm of hepatitis B virus infection and the prevention and control measures to female employees.

　 In 2022, the outbreak of the new crown epidemic will affect offline activities to some extent. The introduction of online popular science videos has solved this problem.

     The project invited Academician Zhuang Hui, a well-known liver disease expert in China, and other experts to record popular science videos, which focused on the life stage of women of childbearing age in "love, marriage, Pregnancy and childbearing", and broadcast through the video official account of "safeguarding liver health" of the China Liver Health, with 45000 people watching.
