On November 9,2022, the National Multicenter Hepatitis D Virus Infected Persons Registration Project (CDiS) held the opening meeting of the sub-center of the First People's Hospital of Yunnan Province in the form of "online+offline". Professor Xu Xiaoyuan, director of the China Liver Health, chairman of the Hepatology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and the First Hospital of Peking University, attended the meeting online as a specially invited expert. About 25 people attended the meeting, including Geng Jiawei, director of the Infectious Diseases and Hepatology Department of the First People's Hospital of Yunnan Province, Yue Wei, director of the department, clinicians and research team members. Professor Xu Xiaoyuan made an opening speech, introducing the project background and overview. The CDiS project was initiated by the China Liver Health, called by Zhuang Hui, academician of Peking University Medical Department, and led by Professor Wei Lai of Tsinghua Changgeng Hospital in Beijing. The purpose of the project is to evaluate the annual cumulative incidence of disease progression and clinical outcomes of patients with hepatitis D virus (HDV) infection, and to provide scientific basis for further evaluation of the disease burden of HDV infection. Professor Xu Xiaoyuan pointed out that Yunnan is a high incidence area of hepatitis D, and the First People's Hospital of Yunnan Province actively participated in the national multi-center hepatitis D virus infection registration project, which has significant clinical value and social significance. Director Geng Jiawei explained the research plan of CDiS project from the aspects of research design, research purpose, enrollment criteria, research process, follow-up plan, adverse event management, etc; Aisa medical staff introduced the intelligent platform of hepatitis D, blood sample collection and inspection process in detail. Director Geng Jiawei said that the First People's Hospital of Yunnan Province will actively promote the smooth progress of the CDiS project by upgrading the laboratory hardware and equipment in the near future. |
