2018 Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference

The 2018 Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference, with the theme “An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity”, opened on April 10^th.

Entrusted by Wei Lai (the chairman of the board of China Liver Health), Li Mingyang, director of China Liver Health, participated in forum, specially the cooperation signing ceremony for Changsheng Health Project and the opening ceremony for its exhibition hall and the sub-forum of “The Belt and Road Initiative: Healthcare Industries”.

President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech.

On April 9^th, Director Li Mingyang attended the cooperation signing ceremony for Changsheng Health Project and the opening ceremony for its exhibition hall. Sponsored by the Silk-Road Planning Research Center, Changsheng Health Project was the first Chinese pioneer zone for international medical tourism. This event brought together a number of world known experts, including Edward Moser, a Nobel Prize winner in physiology or medicine, and heads of German Duvalli Hospital, other health care institutions and well-known companies. Li Xiaolin, executive deputy chairman of the Silk-Road Planning Research Center, delivered an opening speech and introduced the plan of Belt and Road One Health Station. She said, as the starting station, Hainan Changsheng Health Project would build an exchange platform for the Silk Road in the new era.

The sub-forum“The Belt and Road Initiative: Healthcare Industries” was held on the afternoon of April 10^th.

Chen Yuan (deputy chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference), Shen Xiaoming (governor of Hainan province), Zeng Yixin (deputy director of the National Health Commission), Li Xiaolin (executive deputy chairman of the Silk-Road Planning Research Center) and Edward Moser (a Nobel Prize winner in physiology or medicine) participated in the sub-forum and discussed topics focusing on human health. They advocated the most suitable health pattern for China and global development, promoted the upgrading of medical industry in countries alongside the Belt and Road and worldwide, and called on all human beings to realize the health concept of “100 years of youth and 120 years of beauty and good health”.

China Liver Health is a cooperation partner of the Silk-Road Planning Research Center. With the guidance of Healthy China strategy, the two sides will jointly strive to establish the international health think tank system involving top experts and scholars from countries alongside the Belt and Road and worldwide, well-known entrepreneurs and other elites from the health industry so as to accelerate the development of China's health industry and take a lead role globally.
