However, various liver diseases still seriously threaten the public health, including infectious diseases caused by viruses such as hepatitis B and hepatitis C and chronic diseases closely related to poor lifestyles such as fatty liver and alcoholic liver. Liver diseases have caused a substantial social burden, with many patients suffering from poverty due to the disease. Some patients also suffer from serious psychological problems due to social discrimination. Prevention and control of liver disease is a social system project, which includes not only the main medical battlefield of scientific immunization and standardized treatment but also the battlefield of science education for health promotion to the public and the battlefield of public welfare assistance for the elderly, the young, the poor, the sick and the infected. For this reason, Professor Zhuang Hui, a famous hepatologist of Peking University School Health Science Center, the main promoter of hepatitis B vaccination for newborns in China, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, initiated the organization to unite experts, volunteers, and institutions in science popularization, health education, immunization prevention, medical diagnosis and treatment, rehabilitation management and charity relief to carry out liver health promotion work together. (i) Liver health promotion activities for the masses. Work in concert with medical schools, professional associations, foundations, research institutes, medical institutions, and pharmaceutical companies. (ii) Matching the needs of doctors, patients, and medical institutions. Organize and mobilize volunteers in the media, education, medical care, and relief fields to carry out liver health science education, training and exchange, immunization prevention, patient rehabilitation, public assistance, and media promotion. (iii) Promote scientific research on the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of liver disease at the grassroots level. Under the guidance of authoritative liver disease experts, carry out professional training and technical consultation, strengthen academic exchanges, and promote international cooperation. (iv) Collaborate with medical institutions and experts to deliver patient services. To establish a sustainable patient management system, provide patient education, patient follow-up, treatment tracking, and other services through online and offline approaches.
