On the afternoon of April 3rd, 2019, the Academic Conference on Liver Cirrhosis and Related Diseases sponsored by China Liver Health and Peking University Institute of Hepatology was held in the multi-functional hall on the sixth floor of Grand Metropark Yuantong Hotel in Beijing. The conference was presided over associate research fellow Liu Feng. Academician Wang Fusheng and Prof. Wei Lai were invited to attend the conference as the chairman. At the beginning of the conference, academician Wang Fusheng delivered a speech, put forward expectations for young scholars and encouraged everyone to make efforts in scientific research.  Speech by Academician Wang Fusheng Experts gave wonderful lectures concentrating on different aspects of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis. Chief physician Feng Bo from Peking University People's Hospital gave a presentation on the clinical value of anti-mitochondrial antibodies to PBC. Associate research fellow Wang Yijin from the Fifth Medical Center of PLA General Hospital gave a presentation on the research progress in liver cirrhosis coinfected with hepatitis E. Associate chief physician Zhao Hong from Beijing Ditan Hospital gave a presentation on the diagnostic value of serum standard substance for progressive liver fibrosis in NAFLD patients. Chief physician Lin Wei from Beijing YouAn Hospital gave a presentation on the relationship between different PVT classification and upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Associate research fellow Liu Feng from Peking University People's Hospital gave a presentation on qFIBS, a new tool for quantitative assessment of histological characteristics of NASH. Speakers presented in a well-structured manner and had heated discussions with participants focusing on hot topics.
