Director Li attends CPWDP Democratic Supervision Activities in Kunming, Yunnan

Zhao Xuenong, deputy mayor of Kunming, reported on Kunming's work in poverty alleviation since 2018. Ma Tao, chairman of Kunming municipal committee of CPWDP and director of the Health Commission of Kunming, made a brief report on the achievements of poverty alleviation in healthcare.

Zhang Kuanshou (director of the leading group office of targeted poverty alleviation under the central committee of CPWDP and chairman of Yunnan provincial committee of CPWDP), Wang Zhongzhe (deputy chairman of Liaoning provincial committee of CPWDP and counselor of Liaoning provincial government), Zhu Hang (deputy chairman and secretary-general of Liaoning provincial committee of CPWDP), Yang Bi (a member of the standing committee of Kunming municipal party committee and director of the United Front Work Department of Kunming), Bi Huizhi (deputy director of the standing committee of Kunming Municipal People's Congress）, Zhou Kailong (a member of the party group of Kunming Municipal People's Government and director of the Municipal Poverty Alleviation Office), Ma Tao (chairman of Kunming municipal committee of CPWDP and director of Health Commission of Kunming) and Li Mingyang (director of China Liver Health) attended the panel discussion and research activities.

The household survey was carried out simultaneously with the panel discussion. On the early morning of Sep 19, three groups of household survey team went to Dongchuan district, Luquan county and Xundian county of Kunming respectively to carry out research. They randomly selected 20 households from nearly 150 nationally recognized poor households surveyed earlier in the three counties and districts and conducted follow-up research by asking questions and filling out questionnaires, visiting poor households and checking whether their basic living needs are met and whether they have access to compulsory education, basic medical services and housing. Through the field inspection, first-hand information was obtained about the food, clothing and livestock breeding in poor households.

In the next step, the research group will summarize survey results and compile a research report so as to truthfully reflect good practices and existing deficiencies in poverty alleviation work and fully execute democratic supervision over poverty alleviation in Kunming.
